Wedding Workout 2009

Further development was high on my agenda last week when I was a delegate on the Wedding Workout 2009 training course at the Hotel Cerro De Hijar located in the mountains about an hour from Malaga. The course is run by Martin Grahame-Dunn and the course is designed to really shake us up as both photographers and business people, therefore developing the skills we need to be able to give our clients the service and output quality of the highest standards. Martin was ably assisted by Juli Cialone from New York, John Baikie from Scotland and Michael Gron from Denmark. The course started at a fast pace and took each and everyone of us out of our comfort zones early on. But by the end of the week we were all appreciative of the this and every delegate there can say that they learned not only about their own camera technique and skills, but also a little about themselves. For a start we were shown that we can capture images without the use of artificial light and still get creative, not a single image was created with anything other than natural light. I have now come away totally inspired and now have the tools to capture images to stand out. I can now say I have met and learned from inspiring people and the end of course presentation which showcased all delegates work from the week was of a standard that even the trainers and mentors were given the wow factor. So my thanks not only the trainers, but also the other delegates there that made those few days a fantastic experience. Of course not forgetting those fantastic people the other side of the lens who were very patient despite the heat. So thanks to Nikki & Patricio, Tanje & Kom Laa and also Natalie. Below is just a few of the images from the week and thank you for taking time to read this post.

  3. Great wedding shots, I am really impressed with the youtube slideshow. What program did you use for this? I'm looking for something similar for presenting my portrait shoots.
