Helen Perry Photo Shoot

Last week I had a photoshoot with Helen Perry.  The shoot took place at Hoghton Bottoms, which is shown on the map below but in simple terms it is between Blackburn and Preston.  It was a good shoot and Helen help create some great images despite it being very cold in the shade of the trees.

March Gold Awards with Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers

It has been another successful month with my 7 entries in the SWPP monthly competition for March.  I managed to achieve 2 Gold awards in Digital Art and Fine Art, 3 Silvers in Portraiture Contemporary, Landscape and Monochrome and Bronzes in Portraiture Environmental and the Open Category.  The pleasing part is out of over 1900 entries, less than 20% were awarded Silver or Gold and less than 3% were Golds.  The Gold awards go towards the annual awards next January and I am really pleased to now have 8 Gold awards this year so far which is double last years total.  Below are the images and the awards they received.

Jack and Mary 60 years of Marriage!

On 25th of March 2010, Jack and Mary Wild celebrated their Diamond Wedding Anniversary with a tea party at Droylsden Methodist Church.  Being a wedding photographer in Lancashire it was a privilege to be part of their celebrations and capture some images of the family get together.  Thank you also to McDonald Photography for the referral of business.
